Abstract
Speaking good English is crucial in the present world as it is the international medium of communication. One must have correct pronunciation, good grammatical structure, good vocabulary range and good fluency to communicate effectively in English. This study examines the impact of teaching phonology to the ESL learners. For that a comparative study is carried out between the Bhutanese students and Indian students.
