Plagiarism is when an author attempts to pass off someone else’s work as his or her own. This includes information from web pages, books, songs, television shows, email messages, interviews, articles, artworks or any other medium. Duplicate publication, sometimes called self-plagiarism, happens to take place when an author reuses substantial parts of his or her own published work without providing the appropriate citation. To paraphrase, summarize, or take words, phrases, or sentences from another person’s work, needs to indicate the source of the information within the paper using an internal citation. It is not enough to just list the source in a bibliography at the end of the paper. Failing to properly quote, cite or acknowledge someone else’s words or ideas without an internal citation is also plagiarism.
As part of this process, The Achievers Journal scans and compares every manuscript with plagiarism tool. Such manuscripts would not be considered for publication in The Achievers Journal: Journal of English Language, Literature and Culture. If any article is found to be plagiarized or reported by anybody to have been plagiarized even after publication, the article will be REMOVED with a notice for the misdeed and the author will be blacklisted.
